Description
The CBC Analyzer Phase II Enhancement effort will be to optimize, test, and package the prototype. The advancement of the microfluidic cartridge performance will incorporate cell separation techniques within the current microfluidic cartridge design. This will be based on Lynntech’s preliminary work with blood separation, where a novel blood component separator was developed which uses a centerline barrier along a microchannel for cross-flow filtration. Lynntech will investigate incorporating this separator to enhance the accuracy of the detection within the CBC Analyzer. The team will also develop the packaging, finalize the deliverable device specifications, and complete the DFM and testing to define the final prototype’s performance expectations. This will be completed upon delivery of a prototype to the Air Force for evaluation.
