Where the data comes from
Award records are sourced from USASpending.gov, the official source of U.S. federal spending data. We ingest SBIR/STTR contract awards, parse the program (SBIR vs. STTR) and phase (I/II/III), and present them in a searchable, filterable feed. Each award links back to its full record on USASpending.gov.

- DoD SBIR/STTR Topics (DSIP) — open DoD topics
- SAM.gov — contract opportunity notices
How we handle data
Award and topic data on SBIR Signal is public federal data. Submitted capability statements are retained to power topic matching, saved profiles, scorecards, and workspace features; you can delete saved profiles or request deletion anytime at sbirsignal@gmail.com. Payments run through Stripe Checkout, so card numbers are entered with Stripe and never reach our servers. See Security & Data Handling and our Privacy Policy for details.
