Description
In missile defense applications, on-board radio frequency (RF) systems perform many critical tasks such as target tracking, detecting and addressing adversarial electronic warfare threats, and guidance. Printed RF systems have the potential to meet many of the stringent environmental and size, weight, and power requirements of missile defense systems with their reduced weight in a conformal and flexible foot-print, which is naturally compatible with projectile topographies. Nanohmics in collaboration with Texas State University and Lockheed Martin – Rotary and Mission Systems proposes to develop and document process design kits for a comprehensive set of radio frequency materials and components. These process design kits will provide the Missile Defense Agency with easily adaptable design processes for rapidly integrating printed RF components onto missile defense projectiles.
