Description
Develop a Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) Robot Operating System 2 (ROS 2) open-source utility library for a novel Space-based visual odometry solution that can utilize inexpensive COTS microprocessors and imaging hardware by integrating a novel state-of-the-art Visual Odometry Theory for Space (VOTS) based computer vision system into ROS 2 compliant libraries for commercial and governmental on-orbit deployment. Conduct ROS 2 prototyping and software development activities to demonstrate feasibility for proceeding to a Phase II initiative of full library development.
