Description
Penta Research proposes to leverage its simulation capabilities to assess missile raid environments as the basis to explore and develop metrics and capabilities for an operational assessment of missile defense effectiveness performance for missile raid scenarios. It will leverage Penta’s approach for a fast running end-to-end simulation that is configurable, scalable, and flexible to balance run-time vs. model fidelity. Rather than overlaying methods to extrapolate results from legacy single launch simulations or mathematical models, it models and compiles defense performance results from large run sets against missile raid scenarios. Penta’s capability applies multiple innovative technologies to achieve a fast and integrated simulation capability to accommodate user run-time and fidelity requirements. The Phase I effort will demonstrate a proof of concept for a simulation capability to assess and report a list of meaningful metrics for missile defense effectiveness performance against missile raid scenarios. The focus will be on researching and developing useful metrics with a supporting software design for efficient database logging, reporting, and visualization.
