Description
To enhance EABO OTS fuel delivery capabilities, Periscope Aviation (Periscope) proposes using its current Mark and Aero UAS technology as a research base to develop autonomous OTS refueling capabilities that reduce current deployment times, manpower requirements, and complexity while minimizing personnel risks, increasing reliability, efficiency, range, accuracy, and overall performance of OTS fueling systems. During Phase I, Periscope will perform the necessary research to determine the best all-around solution to enhance EABO OTS fuel capabilities. During SBIR Phase I technical efforts, Periscope will design an OTS proof of concept using UAS technology to transfer messenger lines from host vessels from at least 2,000 feet to shore. Periscope will create a draft CONOPS, define requirements, perform analysis of alternatives, create a detailed CONOPS, create a system components breakdown, perform feasibility evaluations, draft a rough order of magnitude, and deliver a final delivery package in preparation for the Phase I option period and Phase II.
