Description
Singularity-Intelligence Amplified, LLC (Singularity-IA) proposes to leverage the Navy and Joint Services’ significant efforts and progress for standards supporting information and data exchange within automated test environments to realize a smart systems environment enabling condition-based and predictive maintenance information utilization across levels of maintenance. CBM+ ASSETS will seek to identify gaps and define opportunities and innovative solutions to close the gaps with tools, information exchange standards, and necessary technical support for full enabling of condition-based maintenance (CBM) and prognostics and health management (PHM). The goal is to achieve improved and consistent maintenance of complex and critical systems. Improved exchange of information across levels of maintenance i crucial to the successful implementation and utilization of the predictive and condition-based results from the implementation of CBM+ in the field. It is quite likely that CBM+, with its enhance capability to detect degraded and failed systems, is breaking a concept called "verticality of test," wherein the next level of maintenance is unable to test and verify the malfunctions identified by CBM+. As ignorance is no excuse, ignoring faults or cycling components through the supply chain with unresolved faults is not the answer. Sharing information across levels of maintenance can help. The proposed CBM+ ASSETS tools and standards will fill gaps and foster more complete utilization of the data rich environment that these intelligent avionic, aircraft, and test systems provide. Smart aircraft, smart avionics, and intelligent test systems offer a data rich environment for advanced application of AI/ML technologies for increased capability and improved repair outcomes. CBM+ ASSETS offers new innovations to help close the maintenance data loop and fully realize the potential of condition-based and predictive maintenance.
