Field 7 Project SummaryIn this Phase I project Sustainable Chemicals LLC will develop a new process for producing highperformance 100% biobased and biodegradable semicrystalline thermoplastic using raw materials fromagricultural feedstock.This application aligns with USDA objectives of enhancing the agriculturesector's role as a reliable supplier of raw materials to industry.The proposed novel bioplastic hasthe potential to replace conventional petrochemical plastics such as high-density polyethylene andpolypropylene. Target for first market entry will be disposable food packaging.0
