Description
The proposed Rapid and Scalable Digital Augmentation Software (RASDAS) builds on Taqtile’s Phase I accomplishments to address several open technical problems standing in the way of an integrated digital augmentation solution for managing motor pool maintenance operations: Need to generate complete workflow by creating a task based on fault marker identification Need to be able to track vehicle poses in 3D space without fiducial markers Need to be able to create an integration bridge with GCCS Army to generate the 5988e to initiate downstream logistics processes Need to be able to create permissions-based access that targets views/training/documentation based on location and/or asset and level of expertise The RASDAS project has four technical objectives to resolve the technical challenges: (1) Digitize fault mitigation workflow to enhance logistics and maintenance processes, (2) Reduce the dependence of a fiducial marker for tracking of vehicle in 3D space, (3) Create a bridge to enable integration with GCSS Army, (4) Implement permissions-based viewing of locations, assets, and work instructions. There are four divisions of work to deliver an integrated digital augmentation solution: (1) program management, (2) discovery exchanges with Army, (3) building software and (4) final deliverables. Building software constitutes the majority of the resource allocation and has the three major tasks of software development, integration, and testing. Taqtile plans to utilize information from the discovery exchanges, both technical and functionality focused, to ensure the project delivers the functionality that supports the integrated experience the Army seeks. Three technical areas form the basis of the technical solution: (1) tagging, (2) markerless 3D tracking and (3) SAP integration with WebHooks. The proposed RASDAS functionality will be combined with Taqtiles existing product, Manifest, which is an end-to-end augmented-reality and mixed-reality work instruction software suite. Enhancements to Manifest made by the proposed RASDAS technologies will be integrated in the Manifest platform to enhance the product’s ability to respond to customer requirements and evolving hardware requirements.
