Description
TRI Austin and the Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T) propose developing advanced ultrasonic testing (UT) and thermography (TT) inspection techniques for this inspection of carbon-carbon material through the manufacturing process. UT and TT methods have different advantages/disadvantages, and the expertise of our organizations enables us to evaluate both of these within the scope of the program. In particular, we propose a unique wide bandwidth air coupled UT approach for non contact high fidelity materials properties measurement and defect detection.
