Description
A paradigm shift in propeller design has been developed over several years of fundamental experimental and computational research that greatly reduces noise signature while at the same time increases aerodynamic efficiency. This innovative design approach tappers the radial lift distribution unloading the tip of the propeller blade decreasing the strength of the tip vortex reducing the aerodynamic flow disturbance created by the propeller. These propeller designs are scalable from small hand-held Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) sized vehicles for Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance (ISR) missions to large eVTOL flying Orb aircraft.
