Description
All aspects of metal additively manufactured (AM) parts, especially for fused powder processes, innately operate from digital data. For these, a new challenge is to provide engineers and inspectors with ready access to the information from these rich data streams, permitting mastery of complex AM technology. Today, “data fusion” for enhanced inspection of AM parts requires repeated manual iterations to combine and visualize the data. Our proposed solution will define the feasibility of building a software graphical user interface (GUI) for supervised learning and semi-automated data registration and fusion to enhance data availability to AM part inspections.
