Description

In this effort, Creative Technologies Inc. (CTI) will develop an artificial intelligence (AI) capability to mine AN/SQQ-89 A (V)15 (“SQQ-89”) operator performance data cross-walked with learning analytics drawn from the Moodle learning management system (LMS).  CTI’s proposed solution combines the means to provide granular measurements of acoustic sensor operator (ASO) performance on the tactical system correlated with data from the embedded, shipboard Moodle LMS.  We believe that the key to measuring SQQ-89 ASO performance in training scenarios that goes beyond current go/no-go, outcomes-based assessments, is, first, the development of an expert model against which to measure salient details of ASO execution. CTI will develop a toolset to analyze user data which includes required reading, videos, apps usage, and other content accessed in Moodle, while tracking ASO actual performance. Finally, CTI’s solution involves the correlation and synthesis of ASO SQQ-89 performance measured against the ML expert model with corresponding Moodle data analytics.
