Description

Carnegie Robotics LLC (CRL) proposes a set of solutions that are anticipated to improve the operator’s capability to understand and properly classify encountered threats utilizing the enhanced capabilities that a standoff detection platform would provide. These include using augmented reality to increase the richness of information available to the operator, new data provided to existing algorithms top increase the accuracy, novel detection algorithms that leverage the extra data available to increase the accuracy of an anomaly being identified as a threat, utilizing the extra compute power to provide a 3D radar image of the encounter and finally to classify the threat encountered by both class and type to provide the operator information that is currently unavailable but that will dramatically improve the knowledge they have prior to mitigating the threat. In Phase 1, CRL proposes to assess reduce the initial risk and develop a clear path forward in Phase 2, while presenting a notional solution to the user community for feedback on value the solution will provide.
