Description
We propose to work with USAF stakeholders at two USAF bases to perform field-level Test & Evaluation (T&E) of our conductive inks and both of our Circuit Jet I (5 x 3.375”) and Circuit Jet II (8x10”) printers. This T&E effort will begin with printing circuit cards for non-flying assets with iterative adaptations of the technology with a goal of printing circuit boards for use in support equipment, AGE, and beyond. This effort, commercially, will help tackle the ongoing problems of diminishing manufacturers and circuit board manufacturers in the US. Lastly, commercial applications include the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) prototyping market which will allow in house prototype production for a fraction of the cost of what is currently available. Program objectives include providing PCB printers and conductive inks to users, then optimizing the printers for USAF needs, then scaling to provide a low-cost, largely deployable “all-in-one” PCB solution capable of printing 3.375 by 8 inch circuit boards, plus eight by ten inch circuit boards.
