Description
Renewables are critical to reducing the Department of Defense’s reliance on hydrocarbons at forward operating bases. Unfortunately, renewables such as solar require a tactical microgrid with lithium ion batteries to manage intermittency. These flammable batteries present a significant hazard to forward operating bases both as a vulnerable explosive target and due to their proclivity for failure. Eonix has developed the first scalable, non-flammable lithium ion battery that can safely enable tactical microgrid’s at Forward Operating Bases to reduce the reliance on hydrocarbons and increase base resiliency.
