Description

The IMG Studio proposes the implementation of a aerodynamic physics based flight simulation video game that will allow users to design, test, and build different military and fighter jet aircraft based a set of guidelines and goals (such as creating an aircraft with a specific take off speed, ability to fly in extreme weather conditions, ability to fly long distances). This game will be used to attract recruits that are interested in being pilots, engineers, aircraft maintainers, and other aircraft and flight related careers. Additionally, by providing a realistic, physics based game, this solution can also be used by current airmen for training and educational purposes. We believe that the implementation of the flight simulation game will help the Air Force Recruiting Service to appeal to a younger generation of recruits, especially to those who are interested in becoming pilots, those that are interested in STEM related jobs (such as aerospace engineering), and other aircraft and flight related careers. This will allow the Air Force to continue to meet recruiting goals and strengthen our armed forces.
