Description

We propose the development of an Intelligent Digital System Model Composer (IDSMC). IDSMC will implement Semantic Model, Annotation and Reasoning Technologies (SMART). IDSMC will help users discover artifacts, evaluate their suitability, compose simulations and obtain results for any analytical objective. By simplifying component, system, mission and theater-level simulations, IDSMC will reduce costs and improve agility. By accelerating multidomain, multi-entity System-of-Systems simulations, IDSMC will support programs such as Air Battle Management System (ABMS). IDSMC will leverage cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing. IDSMC will automatically or semi-automatically annotate models and their outputs to support semantic selection. Intelligent surrogate models will be built to perform rapid suitability analysis and evaluate model suitability. IDSMC will be able to semi-automatically modify models and assemblies to address new analytical objectives. Technologies such as Bayesian Networks will be integrated to adjudicate changes to individual models and their components. Secure, scalable processing technologies will be used to support and faster than real-time simulations across IP fences and classification constraints. IDSMC will be designed to work with SAFE-SiM, Modeling & Simulation Catalogue and Smart Model Repository. All innovations will be integrated into cloud-capable and DoD security compliant toolset. Inspird has teamed with the University of Illinois, Chicago (UIC) to ensure success of the proposed effort. Inspird has a decade long history of developing and commercializing complex technologies. UIC is a world leader in ML. UIC also has significant publications and ongoing efforts in IDSMC relevant technologies. Together we have the expertise and track record to successfully develop and commercialize IDSMC.
