Description
In response to the Navy SBIR Topic N19-014, IRGLARE is pleased to propose the development of 4.5µm Quantum Cascade Lasers delivering continuous wave optical power significantly exceeding 10W in a nearly Gaussian output beam (M2 < 1.5). The very high power level will be achieved by scaling device dimensions both laterally and along the growth direction, while still preserving operation on fundamental mode. This will benefit a very diverse set of critical DoD applications, including DIRCM, remote powering of electrical devices, and free space optical communications.
