Description
The development of MWIR Quantum Cascade Lasers (QCLs) delivering continuous wave (CW) optical power of 10W in a nearly Gaussian output beam (M2 < 1.5) is proposed. Separate controls for emission spectrum and optical power for the proposed platform will allow us to meet the goals set for spectral bandwidth, maximum allowable spectral shift, and spectral uniformity across the band. Also, as the proposed platform is monolithic, we will easily meet size and weight constraints.
