Description
Irvin Technologies Inc. (ITI Engineering) is an award-winning leader in the field of aerospace engineering; providing custom design, development, and manufacture of systems supporting aerospace training, mission planning, debrief, and maintenance. Computer Systems Center Incorporated (CSCI) subject matter experts (SMEs) have a wealth of experience in tactical aircraft mission planning, processes, and the mission planning environment. Combined, the ITI Engineering and CSCI team is the ultimate choice. The current Navy mission planning environment does not allow a coordinated use of mission planning data throughout the mission planning cycle due to time-consuming and error prone data reentry required at the various mission planning stages. This project, utilizing CSCI’s experienced mission planners and ITI ‘s hardware/cyber security specialists, will develop a prototype plan for a security compliant hardware solution to improve the mission planning process by reducing data reentry, improving data flow between locations and classification levels, and reducing mission planning time. The Phase I base period will consist of analysis of the current mission planning process to determine and prioritize system gaps which can be improved upon from both a process and security perspective by the introduction of new mission planning hardware. The focus of the Phase I prototype plan will be on those mission planning use cases which have the highest prioritization from the user analysis. The Phase I Option period will be utilized to continue the gap analysis, address non-DoD use cases, and expand the planned prototype solution to address additional use cases. The Phase I option will also be utilized to procure long-lead hardware components in order to transition into Phase II.
