Description
IceWind micro vertical-axis wind turbines (VAWTs) are a dependable, low-maintenance, energy solution for austere environments and extreme weather conditions. Generator utilizing high-efficiency PCB Stator printed circuit boards as an alternative to gearing systems to be implemented within all wind turbine models. The 3-phase charge controller we seek to develop boosts generator voltage and bucks it down with a DC/DC converter reducing or increasing generator voltage to match battery voltage and enable battery charging. This increases overall efficiency of our VAWT and delivers power for the warfighter.
