Description
IS4S will perform a market survey of existing military (US Air Force primarily) platforms and systems that already are inventoried systems (but not necessarily weapons). These inventory systems already have various sunk costs associated with them that can save significant cost and schedule on developing these platforms into new capabilities. Development, manufacturing, and logistics costs are among the sunk costs that will save future reuse programs. Utilizing these platforms could fill critical mission gaps quickly and affordably while mission specific systems are being developed.
