Description
Kodiak Robotics is a freight carrier developing self-driving technology to build a fleet of autonomous trucks (AT) for long-haul trucking. Kodiak is looking to apply its AT technology to meet the needs of Air Force and other government logistics partners. Kodiak received a Letter of Support from the Travis AFB Phoenix Spark Cell to address their Flight Line of the Future vision. Kodiak’s vision is to build the world’s biggest freight carrier, moving freight using autonomous technology. Kodiak operates like a traditional carrier, moving freight from one point to another by selling the service directly to shippers or partnering with brokers. By developing the technology to operate their fleet of trucks autonomously, Kodiak upends the legacy business model by reducing operating costs, scaling larger than the traditionally fragmented industry, and increasing asset utilization. Kodiak’s technology is not just a concept, it is actively delivering cargo for commercial customers in Texas with its autonomous trucks today.
