Description

The proposed solution enables machine-facilitated peer-to-peer knowledge sharing among Sailors and Marines, enabling the Navy to leverage locally learned knowledge and expertise gained through experience across the enterprise. The solution enables Sailors and Marines to donate, curate, distribute, and collect knowledge via standards-based tools and interfaces and including text and multi-media content. The solution enables informal (i.e., peer-to-peer comments, corrections, and clarifications) and formal (i.e., authoritative review of content prior to wider dissemination) curation. The solution provides machine learning algorithms that assist Sailor and Marines in finding relevant text and multi-media content to include in curation. The solution advances state-of-the-art in user trust of machine recommended content. The solution enables competent authorities to properly vet, edit, and manage distribution of content created by Sailors and Marines with legacy, formally created, learning content to maximize the relevance, utility, and timeliness of shared content.
