Description
The Navy requires draft determination measurements to be conducted regularly as a part of maintaining the safety and stability of the US fleet. Existing methods are labor intensive, sensitive to weather conditions, dangerous for humans, and are frequently experience costly delays. We will provide the Navy with a Robust Autonomous and Precise Image-based Draft Determination (RAPIDD) solution that will enable a drone equipped with deep learning algorithms to reliably conduct draft determination surveys while keeping humans out of harms way. Our method will provide 1/16” of measurement accuracy and will operate under various weather conditions (e.g., winds up to 20 knots).
