Description
Project Narrative The research presented in this proposal intends to demonstrate the feasibility of utilizing a mining byproduct (thorium) to generate the medically attractive isotopes Ra224 and Pb212. The research will also demonstrate the conjugation efficiency of collected Pb212 to a peptide showing promise for targeting particular cancerous cells. The successful completion of this research will provide a first-of-its-kind full-value-chain demonstration for the commercial viability in production of these radioisotopes and mass delivery of such drugs to the public.
