Description
Ravn seeks to further development of its High-tech Assaulter’s Virtual Command and Control (HAVOC) Interface. The HAVOC Interface is a multi-modal display and compute platform that will leverage a Head-worn Display (HWD) and associated peripherals to provide an intermediate augmented reality capability to dismounted warfighters. The HWD will enable users to send, receive, view and manage digital information in a platform that accommodates the unique challenges associated with dismounted operations. This capability will greatly increase the user’s situational awareness, ability to interact with external technology platforms, coordinate with disaggregated units and leverage new concepts such as Human-Machine Combat Teaming. For this Phase I effort, Ravn is proposing to conduct an in-depth assessment of the historical, technical and functional elements of previous HWD attempts and seek to understand why those efforts failed to gain market adoption. Ravn will then and use that information to produce a System Design and Product Roadmap for the development of an HWD. The Phase I deliverables, to include the analysis, System Design and Product Roadmap will be used to inform the further development of Ravn’s HAVOC Interface.
