Description
Our program objective is to produce and deliver an engineering prototype of our Integrated Multi-Sensor Life Detection System (IMLDS), a dual-use sensor technology implemented on eVTOL/UAS/UGV to aid in defense-related missions. For EOD professionals, IMLDS is a proactive tool to verify safe evacuation cordons during emergencies; for SAR professionals, it’s a reactive tool to locate and assess the trapped or injured in combat, disaster recovery, and humanitarian missions. IMLDS combines a unique Radar sensor, a pair of rotating transmitting/receiving antennas, and advanced, multi-sensor integration algorithms of active/passive sensors that utilize proprietary, wideband signal processing/generation techniques, with low and high frequencies, and Doppler/micro-Doppler effects. The result is unparalleled accuracy and efficiency in target and victim detection and assessment that enhances the safety and security of any mission. With 3D localization and non-contact Pulse and Respiration Rate Measurement (PRRM) through walls and obstacles, mission-specific sensors, unlimited field of use, real-time reporting, and more manageable, functional circuitry with a smaller footprint, IMLDs offers a significant advancement in EOD and SAR operations. Phase II efforts include: Approval/waiver/exemption requests to complete objectives End-user specifications, AF-designated UAS acquisition Compliance/regulatory activities & Preliminary Hazard Analysis Design/production/demonstration/delivery of Radar and auxiliary sensors Design/production/demonstration/delivery of IMLDS as UAS payload
