The purpose of this DHA SBIR topic is to use the latest AR technology to develop a medical training tool that is capable of 1) placing 3D virtual anatomical models with proper positions and orientations relative to physical manikins or task trainers; 2) displaying layer-by-layer 3D virtual models for anatomy training; 3) showing step-by-step 3D visual instructions for performing surgical procedures; 4) sharing the instructor’s view with students for classroom or remote teaching.
