Description
Triton Systems, Inc. will design a packaged food waste processing system capable of reducing the US military environmental footprint both inside and outside the United States. The system will be equipped with equipment to process expired military rations and separate food from plastic packaging. The separated plastics and organic material will be processed independently. Organic material will be rapidly composted to minimize greenhouse gas emissions and eliminate the need to bury food waste in landfills. Petroleum based packaging will be converted into a form that can be easily repurposed, preventing the plastic from ending up in landfills. The system will be scalable, durable, and easily transportable to locations inside and outside the United States.
