Description

The MTC2 system is an ACAT 3 program of record currently under development by PMW 150 that will deliver the next generation of maritime C2 capabilities to the fleet. In order to meet Fleet needs for MTC2, PMW 150 relies on the Science and Technology division to research, develop and evaluate new technologies for consideration. The Command and Control Experimentation (C2X) system provides a Research and Development environment to operationally develop, integrate, and evaluate emerging technologies supporting Command and Control (C2) requirements and integration with Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems. Research areas include Data Analytics, Prescriptive Analytics, Microservices, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) and Battle Management Aids (BMA). The company’s phrase-oriented data representation called Truenumbers (TN) is a transformative innovation able to represent data, information and knowledge using a universal structured natural language.  TN avoids the rigidity, siloing and content loss incurred by alignment to fixed domain data models. TN is robust, D-DIL tolerant, secure, and scalable, with tiered-access control (i.e., different classification levels and need-to-know) built into the framework. MTC2 will need to support near real-time decision aids based on data curation, analyses including AI/ML, question analysis, source management and answer presentation providing actionable information in critical situations to reduce the amount of time needed to affect a solution.  TN will act as a universal data layer combining fusion, curation, analytics and communication of human and machine-readable information across all C2X services, applications, and out to the edge.  We will integrate TN with C2X to provide data services in a common representation for all data sources, enabling dynamic enhancement of information with results of analytics and machine learning in real time.  This effort will accelerate and enhance all C2X mission capabilities to support the warfighter.
