Description

VRL is an exciting, complex concept that is in the Technology Readiness Level (TRL-8) stage. Additionally, we have letters of intent from three school districts that have 150 school sites and over 150,000 students to engage us in delivering VRL to their students. We would collaborate with AFRS stakeholders on the most advantageous approach to leverage the participation of these schools using VRL to identify potential recruits. One approach would be a joint effort between the AFRS and these specific schools. They are already set up to play these video games and are receptive to using them. After playing, the recruiter gives out graphic novel style game books with cheat codes, hacks, special access, and download codes. Students could go home, download, and play from home; they will ask when the recruiter will be coming back. The goal would be to work with USAF recruiters to launch for free in schools (millions of players) – leverage millions of data points to assess “who” is interested in electronics, coding, communications, repair, etc. We would use branded, embedded imagery in the games to motivate players to want to learn more and pursue careers in the Air Force.
