Description
Xona Space Systems’ is developing a GNSS-independent, alternate global radionavigation PNT service to provide a revolutionary step in navigation and timing performance required to support modern applications. The PULSAR service will be delivered though a constellation of commercial low Earth orbiting (LEO) satellites, offering a new standard in accuracy and security in a globally available service. PULSAR will transmit multi-spectral PNT signals up to 100 times stronger than legacy GNSS. These modern signals add robustness to jamming/interference, improvements in position accuracy, and a layer of cybersecurity for end users. This service is designed primarily with ground, maritime, and subsonic aviation end users in mind. This SBIR proposal explores the feasibility of using Xona’s commercial low Earth orbiting (LEO) radionavigation system, PULSAR, as a signal of opportunity for hypersonic and LEO applications.
