Description
Applied Ocean Sciences, with technical assistance from L3Harris, will develop a concept for a USW-DSS module that integrates a holistic system for the deployment, operational analysis, and reconstruction for the Advanced Extended Life Sonobuoy (AELS) or similar program to provide operators with situational awareness and on-demand ability to make in-the-moment decisions while communicating with all operational parties. To further improve the operator experience during missions, the USW-DSS module utilizing AOS’s environmental modelling and data services will provide the operator with access to operationally relevant weather, ocean models, acoustic performance characteristics, risk assessment codes, the cumulative probability of detection and barrier detections for given targets passing through a field of sensors.
