Description
SR-Blockchain is ATCorp’s solution for adapting blockchain technology to Disconnected, Intermittent, or Limited/lossy (DIL) tactical networks. SR-Blockchain increases availability, validates data to prevent tampering, and thwarts distributed denial-of-service attacks. SR-Blockchain gives warfighters access to valid Command and Control (C2) information that facilitates real-time decision making. As an innovative private blockchain protocol for tactical environments, SR-Blockchain overcomes the following limitations of other blockchain approaches deployed in DIL environments: 1) efficient message distribution, 2) correct operation during network disconnects, 3) dynamic adaptation to variable network performance, and 4) scalable blockchain construction. It’s software that can be deployed without changes to infrastructure or applications, which preserves organizational investment in network equipment and application software. The proposed Phase II effort will implement a TRL 6 prototype of SR-Blockchain that can be transitioned to a commercial product for both military and civilian applications.
