Description

ABSTRACT AND DEVELOPMENT PLAN:  This Phase 2 proposal has incorporated multiple NSN’s for the DLA Aviation Nuclear Enterprise program. We have grouped 38 NSN’s into this proposal to continue and optimize our reverse engineering and SAR development efforts. By working on these programs in parallel we can maximize resources and minimize cost and reduce activity lead times for multiple projects.   This proposal introduces an approach from Brighton Cromwell to improve product availability and increase competition through the development of Small Business eligible manufacturing utilizing the DLA’s Nuclear Enterprise DLA Aviation Limited Source National Stock Number (NSN) List. The list contains NSNs with an Annual Demand Value (ADV) >$10K currently sourced with no current suppliers.   We are offering to qualify as an Approved Source for Critical/Weapon System Items/NSNs specifically identified in our proposal. In Phase 1, we obtained samples through the RPPOB process, performed due diligence, reverse engineering, and created engineering drawings, positive material identifications, assigned proper quality control documentation, and all pertinent technical activities to complete a technical data package in accordance with the DLA requirements and submit 2 SAR’s for evaluation and acceptance. We assessed our existing manufacturing capabilities to determine what could be adapted to successfully produce competitive specific Critical/Weapon System Items/NSNs and provide that data and business case in our final report in Phase II. Our long-term goal is to be an approved source for these NSN’s and bring them to commercialization.
