Description
Cornerstone Research Group Inc. (CRG) proposes to develop a robust navigational sensing system that combines commercially available advanced, high resolution LiDAR sensors with innovative vehicle integration strategies to provide the Army with enhanced autonomous capabilities with its tactical and combat vehicles. The approach leverages state-of-the-art COTS LiDAR sensors to reduce cost and mitigate risks, while also expanding the capabilities with novel mounting and packaging to mitigate effects of shock and vibration from harsh military operation with gunfire shock and overpressure. The sensor unit will be designed to be modular and adaptable for a variety of vehicles and applications, simplifying maintenance and supply chain issues. CRG’s track record of delivering rapid innovation positions them for successful implementation of CHL meeting the Army’s operational needs.
