Description
The Air Force needs a solution to monitor Airmen’s body systems efficiently and effectively, in order to maintain mission readiness and safety. With the help of Cipher Skin, an Airman working in extreme temperature conditions can be notified of a dangerous trend in core body temperature so that the situation can be corrected before injury occurs. Cipher Skin’s sensor technology can predict dangerous conditions such as fatigue, heat stroke, hypoxia, hypothermia or joint injury before they occur. The system is woven or fused onto the interior of a standard compression garment such as leggings, a sleeve, a shirt or the inside of a helmet. It is wireless and fully mobile. Cipher Skin provides highly accurate monitoring of an Airman’s movement, position, and biometrics, alongside complex data analysis and real-time feedback. For example, an airman or parachutist can be notified of downward trends in O2 saturation before the symptoms of hypoxia become acutely dangerous.
