Description
CyberBOSS facilitates cyberspace effects and actions across LVC&G training systems in order to provide cyber warfare training in a Multi-Domain Operations environment. CyberBOSS is an instance of a a cyberspace terrain ecosystem that provide common perspectives of cyberspace. CyberBOSS is a client-oriented set of tools that is open and transparent to be easy for others examine and interact with the ecosystem. The architecture is flexible and extensible so that it can adapt to future needs and facilitate third party extensions. CyberBOSS is a services-oriented architecture with a transparent message passing scheme making it easy to incorporate and extend cyberspace models and synthetic battlespaces. CyberBOSS defines a common data model for cyberspace devices, effects, and commands to provide a common view. Dignitas’ objective for the Sequential Phase II is to extend CyberBOSS cyber training capabilities by addressing gaps and new capabilities identified as necessary by stakeholders and clients during commercialization marketing efforts. Throughout our Sequential Phase II work, we will coordinate with stakeholders and gap owners to assure our research is relevant to cyber training. The Sequential Phase II prototype will focus mainly on transition to Army constructive systems (OneSAF and JLCCTC), but there is benefit to exploring Phase III research and development to integrate this technology in other systems such as the Live Virtual Constructive Integrating Architecture (LVC-IA) and all their core systems (with JLCCTC as one of the core systems). This would expand CyberBOSS capability to include new domains and new systems. Also, transition with LVC-IA would provide an enterprise perspective for CyberBOSS by providing cyber effects for core systems as well as the enterprise integrating architecture.
