Description
Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) is a vital military satellite communication system that manages strategic military operations, classified information, and mm-wave communication. Consequently, reliable and secure operation of the AEHF is always a top priority, which necessitates that communications between AEHF satellites and intended targets (air, ground, and sea) be as resilient and agile as possible. To target improvement in said resiliency and agility, we propose a 3D, multi-directional phased-array mm-wave antenna (using a novel 3D printed + lithography-free, selective metallization scheme), enabling the generation of more complex radiation patterns (including nulls) that can more adaptively respond in the crowded Electromagnetic Environment (EME).
