Description
Many of the stock items under DLA management for the Nuclear Enterprise Support Office (NESO) are obsolete, difficult to procure and are often excessively priced if they are available. Quite often, DLA does not have sufficient documentation to directly find new suppliers of these obsolete parts. Therefore, a new process is required to efficiently develop Technical Data Packages that will then be used to develop modern sources of the obsolete parts. The end result will be improved product availability with reduced cost to the United States government. The target of this effort are components from the ICBM Weapon System that is procured through the DLA Nuclear Enterprise Support Office.
