Description
Event 38’s E400 commercial mapping and surveying platform allows surveyors in multiple industries to collect high resolution, high accuracy survey products for areas between 300 and 2,000 acres. The E400 is designed to collect high resolution imagery or LiDAR data for use with photogrammetric processing of georeferenced orthomosaics and elevation models. The E400 is an all-electric, Group 1, hand-launched UAS. Its fixed wing design lends it well to rapidly collecting survey data as required for multiple Air Force applications. Event 38 will investigate the applicability of the E400 to multiple Air Force objectives by researching and documenting end user requirements, performing mission profile and payload analyses and benchmarking performance of the E400.
