Description

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has created unique and urgent challenges for Air Force leadership, which must combat the virus’s spread while maintaining mission readiness and continuing to operate as a fighting force throughout this crisis. For this Phase II, Geosite will adapt its intuitive distributed operations platform to visualize and disseminate sophisticated COVID-19 data and complex model predictions into a revolutionary crisis common operating picture. Geosite will help leadership mitigate COVID-19’s direct and indirect effects on force readiness and ensure the safe and effective continuation of critical operations throughout this pandemic and future crises. Specifically, the Geosite COVID-19 Decision Support Tool will enable Air Force leaders to: Rapidly access, visualize, and assimilate current COVID-19 data from multiple sources Compare predictive epidemiological models to generate fact-based response COAs Connect these data inputs with tangible effects on USAF ability to man/train/equip its forces Forecast expected COVID-19 impacts on mission readiness under a range of “what if” scenarios Make data-driven decisions regarding personnel and resource allocation to combat the virus Rapidly communicate ground-truth data and time sensitive decisions throughout the force Enact consistent reopening measures that mesh HPCON levels with current local/state/federal guidelines to safely and effectively operate in the “new normal”
