Description

With over two decades of R&D and innovation success across the DoD and federal government, current Air Force (AF) C-17 flight readiness engagements, and an enduring Glotech, Inc. and RevaComm, Inc. partnership, the GLOCOMM team will leverage lean principles and Agile development to increase Aircrew readiness, today in response to COVID-19 and into the future. In partnership with TRON, we propose deploying in tandem our Aircrew Training Logging and Training Evaluation Applications (ATLTE), and embedding the entire solution within Aircrew Electronic Flight Bags (EFB). The proposed solution will improve and replace the existing paper-based Aircrew training logging. We will use modern industry tools, including our partner’s PUCKBOARD suite and integrate with key AF systems  (e.g., ARMS). The application will support missions and training maneuvers/events; offer components for Aircraft Commanders and Instructors, achieve compliance with doctrine and policy including DevSecOps; and leverage Approved and Accredited platforms. As the DoD adapts in the continuance of the defense mission due to COVID-19, reforming legacy processes through mobile, workflow-enabled, and cloud-based solutions is essential. The proposed approach and enhanced EFB are directly applicable to similar legacy processes that impede aircrew safety and readiness.
