Description

To address the Air Force stakeholders’ need for innovative defense-related dual-purpose technologies/solutions, Intellisense Systems, Inc. (ISI) proposes to develop a new Rapid, Adaptive Display Deployment and Enhanced Retrofit (RADDER) technology. RADDER is based on the unique combination of resolution adaptive protocol and electronics enhancements coupled novel display resizing solutions to overcome resolution and form-factor obsolescence. The RADDER effort aims to achieve a new paradigm in how display systems are implemented in military aircraft, which rigidly dictates specific interface resolutions and impacts future growth. RADDER will develop defense-specific protocols and firmware architecture, as well as selection of candidate donor panels to achieve a form fit-function design solution specific to the platform needs. As a result, when implemented, the RADDER solution will enable dual-use defense and commercial aviation technology with clear Air Force stakeholders already identified by ISI. In Phase I, ISI will work with AFLCMC/WIU (SOF) MC-130J sustainment group and commercial stakeholders including Delta Airlines to assess the feasibility and impact of RADDER on the selected platforms and rapidly develop test and operational assessment plans. In Phase II we will develop and perform integrated testing of a RADDER prototype, leading to Phase III transition to the platform and commercial dual-use applications.
