Description
This effort will be focused on the development of pulsed Long Wave Infrared Quantum Cascade Lasers delivering pulse optical power exceeding 10W in a nearly Gaussian output beam (M2 < 1.3) with wallplug efficiency exceeding 20%. Pulse width and duty cycle for fully packaged device to be delivered to Army will be adjustable and its maximum value will exceed 700ns and 7%, respectively. Projected reliability for new high performance lasers will exceed 1,000h.
