Description
The Defense Logistics Agency aims to improve product availability and increase competition on an assortment of NSN items for the Nuclear Enterprise Support Office (NESO). Mainstream will leverage a unique combination of reverse engineering and manufacturing to develop of a form, fit, and function replacement for NSN 5930-01-563-8334, a specialized double-pole double-throw (DPDT) toggle switch used in the Stability Augmentation Subsystem on the B-52. The toggle switch has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available. In Phase I, we will fabricate prototype toggle switches and perform preliminary functional tests. The overall goal of the program is for Mainstream to become an approved source of supply for an NSN 5930-01-563-8334 replacement.
