Description
The overall objective of this SBIR Program is to enhance the capabilities of US Army Force Protection Systems by developing and integrating innovative video analytics and biometrics technologies. This Phase II effort is focused on target re-identification (re-ID), defined as associating images of persons (or other objects) through non-sequential / non-overlapping views. The proposed approach builds on recent advances in keypoint detection to analyze objects and perform more intelligent matching / recognition. In addition to algorithmic advances, the Phase II will also place emphasis on implementation, integration, and testing. The analytics will be designed and optimized to run on low-SWaP (size, weight, and power) "edge processors" at or near the sensor. Through our partnership with the video analytics provider for several major FPS programs, we will rapidly integrate and evaluate these capabilities with systems such as IGSSR-C, BETSS-C, JACCS, and IBD-K. This effort will also include a significant amount of testing and operationally relevant experimentation.
