Description
Advanced antenna systems offer the means to identify, locate, and counter electronic warfare threats. Large antennas are traditionally required to address the full breadth of frequencies used in electronic warfare systems (EWS). In turn, Marines often engage in first-on-the-scene missions, which require hardware to be highly-mobile with a low profile (physical and electromagnetic). To meet this need for more compact EWS solutions, Nanohmics in collaboration with Texas State University proposes to develop a set of compact, broadband antennas, which are compatible with a photonic receiver. This technology will greatly expand the range RF spectrum dominance available to the highly-mobile, low-profile gear and platforms of the Marines for maintaining.
